We've had a busy first week in Ulduar! Our 25 man group full cleared the normal modes, and two 10-man groups also full-cleared. One of the 10-man groups was able to clear a handful of the hardmode versions as well! Fun raid, and very well scripted on Angrathar--kudos to their game staff.
Still looking for one enhance shaman who can also play resto when needed, and we're always looking for outstanding players of all classes, who feel that our guild would be a good fit. Don't be scared to give applying a shot!
It's been a long journey for us here on Kronos, but with the death of K1 officially set for March 31st, we've decided it's time move on. While there have been a lot of ups and downs, the 2+ years we spent here were unquestioningly worth it. A big thank you to Chero for making this vanilla experience possible, and to the Kronos game staff for creating and maintaining an enjoyable community that in the face of all the heat other projects were receiving for their mischief, remained stable, and relatively drama free. We won't soon forget it!
I'd also like to thank Vanguard, Synced, and Onslaught, for being the competition we needed to continue pushing ourselves to be better. Without you to compete with on a weekly basis (yea yea EU > NA), we probably wouldn't have stuck around for nearly as long as we have.
One further thank you to all the good guys of Kronos who I've met during the past few years: Theruas, Brezel, Vancocin, Roarrior, Bacon, Dance, Tonkawonka, Marelle, Jaffa, and countless others--you guys being the great people who you are is one of the main reasons I'll look back on Kronos as a good experience. Keep doing what you do, and don't change!
What's next for Risen? We aren't disbanding, we've simply accepted that it's the right time to walk away (something the rest of you will have to come to terms with at some point during the next two months). Since there aren't any good TBC server options right now, we've decided to give it a shot on a Wrath server. Sunwell-Angrathar is launching their progressive Wrath server on January 27th, which couldn't have been more perfect timing. So if you're looking for us, that's where we'll be. If any of you from Kronos would like to join, even just to screw around as a social, you're welcome to, so feel free to message me about it at any time.
It took four weeks longer than it should have, but at least we finally made it happen! First North American guild to do it, though by only a couple hours. Special thanks to Tex from VG, Theruas from Synced, Vancocin from NLT, and Fiendx from Outplayed for helping us out at various points throughout the last few weeks. And of course, a huge thanks to all the loyal members of Risen who each have made numerous sacrifices over the past two years, who continued raiding through all the hardships with the server situation, and continued to push through these past few weeks that were wrought with close calls and should-have-beens!
Next up: the race for server first Atiesh!
Raiding Naxx is a lot of fun, and we hope to continue doing it each week here on Kronos for many months to come! If you'd like to join a guild that is well-organized, stable, and very competitive, we might be the right place for you. We're currently recruiting most classes and roles, so if you're interested, go check out our recruitment forum, or talk to shard or wake (both the same person) in-game. No gear or experience requirements, so don't let that scare you away. I'm more interested in recruiting people who who fit well with the team, and want to be part of the guild for the long term, so even if you just hit 60 and have shit gear, I'd still love to hear from you!
