Currently Recruiting: Anyone interested in becoming part of the ultimate Classic community
<Risen> originated several years ago as a group of people interested in playing on the Corecraft TBC server. Like many others, we got bored of waiting, so we decided to give somewhere else a shot. The Kronos guild was created mid-way through 2015, and quickly became one of the most active and competitive NA communities out there! We were the first North American guild to clear AQ40, and Naxxramas. We routinely participated in speed clears (22 minute MC, 38 minute BWL), as well as world pvp. Perhaps you've seen us, as we were featured several times in Buff Watch videos from Pronkers, and in a number of world pvp movies posted by Wawa Productions!
We have some very ambitious plans for Classic! Over the past few months, we've been thinking about what we could do differently this time around to give ourselves an advantage over the other raid guilds on our server. Thinking back to my own personal retail Vanilla experience, the answer to that was obvious. Instead of having one raid team in our guild, we'll have two, or possibly even three! Though it clearly requires more effort, and a leadership team that is all on the same page, the benefits of having multiple raid groups within the same guild are tremendous. I'm sure we all have memories of frustration that stemmed from not having enough players online to do something, whether it was getting a group together to kill a world boss that spawned at 3 AM, or just to get a premade guild pvp group going on an offnight. Multiply your typical number of guildies by 3, and you'll never have to worry again over having a lack of players online to do something! My first ever guild in retail WoW had three raid teams, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had playing WoW. My goal is to recreate that here with Risen!
Things you can expect from our guild: -Strong foundation and guild structure -Experienced leadership -Active, competitive, and most importantly fun environment (we typically had 35-40 members online on offnights, while most other NA guilds had only 5-10) -Effective use of time during raids -Fairness and objectivity -Willingness to help each other, and teach newer players how to improve
We're fairly open to giving pretty much anyone a shot, but ideally, we consider a good member to be someone who exhibits the following qualities:
-Reliability (rarely misses a raid, and will give advance notice if he/she is forced to) -Loyalty (no people prone to guild-hopping please) -Competitive drive (you optimize everything you can possibly control to be #1 dps/healer/whatever) -Dedication (You understand that part of progress means wiping to a boss--and won't give up easily) -Positive attitude (toxic players who complain about everything and troll world chat, please stay far away) -Willingness, and drive to improve as a player (be able to ask for help when you need it)
We're also on the lookout for individuals who are interested in becoming leaders/officers of our second or third raid group. If you have past leadership experience, or are a leader of a current community of players and are interested in partnering to build the ultimate gaming community in Classic WoW, I would love to talk to you about it!
If that's the kind of person/player you are, then we'd love to hear from you! If you're interested in joining, or have questions, please visit our forum, and submit an app. If you have any questions, feel free to talk to me on Discord at shard#7845
